Advancing Caribbean Economic Resilience

The probability of facing catastrophic disasters on our islands, affecting our productivity, is overwhelming. Hence, it is important to prepare in advance with strategic planning, specific tasks, and tools to be used before, during and after a disaster. The Caribbean Climate-Smart Accelerator in association with Bluetide Puerto Rico and DRI International brought a curriculum, specifically designed to prepare coastal business owners, community leaders, and coastal production staff in resilience and disaster management.

We have effectively supported participants from twenty-five (25) organizations representing the following countries and territories which attended the Bluetide Blue Economy Business Continuity & Coastal Planning Certificate Training Course: Saint Lucia, Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, Grenada, Guyana, St. Kitts & Nevis, Dominica, Belize, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

ERSF provided technical assistance throughout the program. Participants who achieved a 75% score or higher on the exam received a Disaster Recovery International certification from Bluetide Puerto Rico

Thank you Bluetide Puerto Rico for a successful collaboration in advancing #caribbean #economic #resilience. Thank you to the ERSF team in support of the Blue Economy and the MOU between Caribbean Climate-Smart Accelerator and Bluetide Puerto Rico.
