Call for Projects

Advancing Sustainable Development through Renewable Energy, Climate-Smart Agriculture, Nature-Based Solutions and Green Jobs Creation.

We are pleased to announce a call for projects aimed at promoting sustainable development, addressing climate change, and fostering environmental resilience.

This call is seeking innovative and impactful projects that contribute to the transition towards a low-carbon, climate-resilient future, with a particular focus on renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, conservation, nature-based solutions, and green job creation.

The cross-cutting themes of intersectionality, climate justice, post-COVID recovery, livelihood creation, alignment with nationally determined contributions, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, and gender and social inclusion are integral aspects of this call. The aim is to drive innovation and technology while fostering inclusive and equitable sustainable development.

The call for projects invites organizations, research institutions, NGOs, community-based organizations, private sector entities, and individuals to submit proposals that demonstrate a commitment to addressing the pressing environmental and social challenges we face today. Women led businesses and projects are encouraged. CCSA also strongly encourages projects that are of, from and for the region. The selected projects will form part of the CCSA project pipeline with access to a diverse set of networks, funding initiatives and support to implement their ideas and contribute to positive change on a local, regional, and/or global scale.

02

Alignment with Nationally Determined Contributions:

Projects that align with the climate targets and priorities outlined in the nationally determined contributions of respective countries, fostering collaboration and contributing to the achievement of national climate goals.

03

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Principles:

Projects that adhere to ESG principles, incorporating environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and good governance practices into their design, implementation, and monitoring.

04

Innovation and Technology:

Projects that leverage innovative technologies, digital solutions, and data-driven approaches to drive progress in the renewable energy, agriculture, and conservation sectors, facilitating scalable and replicable solutions.

05

Gender and Social Inclusion:

Projects that promote gender equality, empower women and girls, and ensure the inclusion and meaningful participation of marginalized/vulnerable groups such as disenfranchised/at risk youth, the LGBTQAI+, the differently abled and the elderly in sustainable development initiatives.
