THE CCSA AT COP
The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, more commonly referred to as Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, or COP28, will be the 28th United Nations Climate Change conference, being held from 30 November to 12 December 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). In November 2021 the prime minister and vice president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum announced that the UAE would be hosting the 2023 conference.
Racquel Moses, the CEO of CCSA and UNFCCC Global SIDS Ambassador, is actively showcasing how CCSA is implementing climate-resilient solutions to drive forward climate action in the Caribbean region. The CCSA team’s primary focus is to facilitate connections between philanthropic organizations and financial institutions, highlighting the diverse investment prospects available in the Caribbean. The 9th Investor Forum by the Caribbean Climate-Smart Accelerator (CCSA) is being held in conjunction with the United Nations climate change summit, COP28. This event, the CCSA’s 2nd COP Side Event, centers around harnessing climate finance for supporting resilience-building projects in the Caribbean. It will provide a platform for attendees and panelists at the summit to engage with participants and speakers.
