The Caribbean Climate-Smart Accelerator at the Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP27)
THE CCSA AT COP
The 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, more commonly referred to as Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, or COP27, will be the 27th United Nations Climate Change conference, being held from 6 to 18 November 2022 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. It takes place under the presidency of Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, with more than 90 heads of state and representatives of 190 countries expected to attend.
Racquel Moses, CEO of CCSA and UNFCCC Global SIDS Ambassador, is on the ground to demonstrate how the CCSA is delivering climate-smart solutions to advance climate action in and for the Caribbean. The CCSA team will concentrate on connecting philanthropic organizations and financial institutions with the numerous opportunities to invest in the Caribbean. While serving as an example of the region’s ingenuity and leadership in terms of climate action.
The CCSA Investor Forum: Leveraging Climate Finance to Build Caribbean Resilience
The Caribbean Climate-Smart Accelerator (CCSA) is hosting an Investor Forum from the United Nations climate change summit, COP27, November 15, 2022 at 3pm EET. Focused on leveraging climate finance to fund resilience-building initiatives in the Caribbean, this is the CCSA’s first COP27 Side Event and will feature attendees and panelists at the summit interacting with participants and speakers.
