CCSA Director of Private Sector Projects joins other experienced Caribbean professionals who drive GWP-C efforts to create, accumulate, and disseminate knowledge to support integrated water resources management (IWRM) change processes in the region.

Balancing water use for human needs and activities with its crucial role in nature’s ecosystems is undeniably linked to social, cultural, commercial and economic considerations and requires an integrated approach. This is even more critical when climate change impacts in the Caribbean are considered.

The Caribbean Climate-Smart Accelerator is therefore honoured to announce the appointment of our Director of Public Sector Projects, Ms. Kiesha Farnum as a member of the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean Technical Committee (GWP-C Tec).

The GWP-C Technical Committee is composed of experienced Caribbean professionals who drive the organisation’s efforts to create, accumulate, and disseminate knowledge to support integrated water resources management (IWRM) change processes in the region.

With over 19 years of experience in project management, innovation for growth, and sustainable development Farnum brings a wealth of expertise to the committee. Through her participation, the CCSA aims to boost regional water management solutions in the face of climate change.

Solutions for adapting to intense flooding, extreme heat or prolonged periods of drought, which all directly affect access to water for human consumption, agricultural and industrial use and hydroelectricity production are some of the most critical.

As a member, Ms. Farnum will collaborate with other GWP-C Tec experts in disciplines including geospatial soil science, water resources management, wastewater management, solid waste management, hydrology, and land use.

The CCSA remains steadfast in its pursuit of advancing priority initiatives aimed at bolstering resilience, fostering social and economic growth, and promoting sustainable development across the Caribbean.

Through its comprehensive approach to eliminating barriers, coordinating projects, advocating for change, and activating networks to catalyze action, CCSA is firmly committed  to driving positive impact across its 28 member countries.
