December 6 from 8:30 – 10:30 am at the Global Alliance for a Sustainable Planet Pavilion in the Blue zone.
Join us for an enlightening session coordinated by Blue Planet Alliance and the International Organization Peace Boat, a UNFCCC Official Observer. This event, centered around education and capacity-building, will explore critical issues at the intersection of the ocean and climate, with a specific focus on renewable energy. Emphasizing the pivotal role of youth in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the session will demonstrate how they can serve as catalysts for climate action both locally and globally.
Titled “Building on COP 28 Partnerships: Working Towards the SDGs and a 100% Renewable Energy Future in Small Island Developing States by 2045,” this event will feature prominent voices in the field. The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A, providing a platform for audience members to engage with the experts.
Our overarching goal is to delve into the intricacies of passing a 100% renewable energy mandate and explore collaborative approaches between government and civil society. The event aims to culminate in the formulation of actionable climate ideas to be implemented both now and well into 2024. Be part of this insightful discussion as we chart a path towards a sustainable and renewable energy future.
